Stephen Pearse is an investor and entrepreneur who previously served as chairman and CEO of Cyras Systems until its sale in 2000 to Ciena Corporation for $2.6 billion.[1]

Previously, he was chairman of the board at Maxwell Biosciences,[2] Techtonic Group LLC,[3] and Innovation Pavilion. He's a principal at Yucatan Rock Ventures.[4]

In 2013, he was appointed to the NASA Advisory Council.[5]

In 2024, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) appointed him to its inaugural board of directors for its first-ever agency-related foundation, The Foundation for Energy Security and Innovation (FESI), authorized through the 2022 CHIPS and Science Act.[6]
