Shamshun Nahar Chapa is a Awami League politician and a Jatiya Sangsad member from a women's reserved for Tangail District.[1][2] She is the Education and Human Resource Affairs Secretary of the Awami League.[2]

Early life
editChapa's father's name was Kasim Uddin Ahmed and her mother's name was Hamida Begum.Her father was a Chairman of a village of Tangail. Chapa is the sister of Abdur Razzaque, former Minister of Agriculture.[3] She was the general secretary of the Bangladesh Chhatra League unit of Shamsunnahar Hall while studying at the University of Dhaka.[3]
Career
editChapa retired from the National Institute of Mass Communication on 1st January 2016.[3]
Chapa was appointed the state minister for education on 1 March 2024.[3]
