Television
Episodes of the Shake, Rattle & Roll films were aired in ABS-CBN, as part of the channel's Sabado Special block every Saturday.[1]
Other media
A full-length remake of the "Pridyider" episode, directed by Rico Maria Ilarde, was released on September 19, 2012.
An unofficial graphic novel adaptation of the second film was published on January 1, 2016. Titled Shake, Rattle & Roll: Kahindik-hindik na Klasikong Katatakutan, it features three stories that were adapted from the film. It was created by authors Adam David, Carljoe Javier, Mervin Malonzo, and Noel Pascual.
Themes
The subjects and themes featured in Shake, Rattle & Roll include Filipino supernatural beings (e.g. aswangs, engkanto, tiyanaks, etc.), superstitions, urban legends, cults and demonic possessions. Almost all of the films are set during the Christmas season. While the series typically premieres during that time, only the "Christmas Tree" episode in Shake, Rattle and Roll 9 contains Christmas-related content.[1]
