Moral Education and Service edit

Moral education and service are intertwined at School of the Nations, shaping students into socially responsible individuals. For our youngest students, our curriculum involves engaging students in learning important virtues and performing acts of kindness. As students progress, it evolves into structured, high-impact projects, fostering a lifelong commitment to positive change.

College Counseling edit

School of the Nations prepares High School students to enroll in universities in Brazil and abroad. Students prepare for the required exams and college entrance tests, such as PAS, ENEM, the Vestibular, and SAT. Our College Guidance Counselor offers personalized advice to students to help them understand all options open to them and support their choices. High School provides students mock exams, study halls, and ENEM/PAS Week and prepares them to do well on international external tests such as the PSAT and SAT.

Athletics and Sports edit

From a pedagogical standpoint, students should be encouraged to participate in sports in a manner that emphasizes cooperation and demonstrates excellence. We provide students with opportunities to explore a variety of team and individual sports. We strive to create a safe environment where all students can take part. This enables students to learn through problem-solving and encourages autonomy. Students also have the opportunity to engage in sports tournaments, enhancing their teamwork.

After School edit

Aiming to enrich the regular curriculum, our After School program offers students the opportunity to explore skills in areas of interest to them. Students may choose from over twenty-five activities in recreation, sports, arts, academics, and culture, all of which are taught by qualified professionals.

History edit

The school was founded in 1980 by two North American families of educators who envisioned building a school around a new model of international education. The basis of this model was the Baháʼí teaching of "unity in diversity"; to create an environment in which students from different races, nationalities, cultures and religions could learn to live in peace and harmony, while developing their intellectual, physical and spiritual potentials to the highest degree.

During the 1990 International Literacy Year the school cooperated with several communities on projects, one of which included sponsorship by the Secretary of Education of the Federal District.[1]

During a special session of the Brazilian Federal Chamber of Deputies honoring the 1996 visit of Madame Mary Rabbání, a Deputy of the Social Democratic Party (Brazil) noted the school as an example of the contributions of the Baháʼí faith in "the economic and educational fields".[2]

  • For the 2005-6 school year, the school is noted by "Artsonia" for several awards - Leadership, Art Publishing, Fan Clubs, Comments, and Fund Raising Award (Ranked #1 in all categories).[3]
