Schnellmannshäuser Bach is a river of Thuringia, Germany. It flows into the Werra near Treffurt. The water comes from numerous small springs on the northwest slope of the Langer Berg, located west of Volteroda. It flows towards the north-facing valley, eventually joining the Werra River after passing through Volteroda. Along its course, it encounters a pond spring near Hattengehau, followed by the Schrapfensdorf spring approximately 500 meters downstream. In the vicinity of Schnellmannshausen, sections of the stream are channelized and directed through pipes. Prior to reaching Treffurt, approximately 1.2 km from its confluence with the Werra, measures have been taken to construct a reservoir enclosed by earthen dams, aimed at preventing the discharge of contaminated river water into the Werra during emergencies.[citation needed]
