Colonel (then Captain) Sanjeev Singh Jamwal is an Indian Army officer and Kargil War veteran. He is awarded the Vir Chakra for his gallant services for his actions on Kargil War. During the Kargil War he succeeded to recapture point 5140 along with Captain Vikram Batra. He was a captain during the war and now he is Colonel, and commanding an Army Service Corps battalion near Amritsar in Punjab.[2][3][4]
