AVM Saeedullah Khan (23 July 1926[1] – 2002) was one of the pioneering officers of Pakistan Air Force.[1][citation needed] He joined the newly formed air force, then known as Royal Pakistan Air Force, as a flying officer (pilot) and rose to the rank of air vice marshal. He served as Deputy Chief of Air Staff from 22 June 1972 to 29 June 1973.[2]

Khan was born to S. A. Khan, an Indian Civil Service officer.

Royal Indian Air Force edit
He was commissioned as a pilot in the Royal Indian Air Force on 17 September 1945; his service number was 3241.[3] Between 14 November 1946 and 22 July 1947 he was posted at Kolar.[3]
Pakistan Air Force edit
After the Partition of India and creation of Pakistan in 1947, he joined Pakistan. In 1951, he flew his Hawker Sea Fury as part of the first aerobatic team, the Red Dragons, in the Indian subcontinent, which was involved in the farewell ceremonies of the Commander-in-Chief, AVM R. L. R. Atcherely in Peshawar.[citation needed]
