Ronald Hamilton (born 24 April 1945) is a retired Scottish professional footballer who played in the Scottish League for Kilmarnock, St Mirren and Queen of the South as a centre forward.[1][2][3] He is best remembered for his time as player, assistant manager, coach, scout and chairman of Kilmarnock.[1] At the time of his debut as a player for Kilmarnock, Hamilton was the club's youngest ever player and the youngest post-war Scottish League First Division player.[1][4] As of June 2022, he had served as president of Ardeer Thistle for more than 30 years.[5]

Personal life edit

Hamilton attended Kilmarnock Academy.[1] As of 2007, he was working as a chartered accountant.[1]
