Armidale Regional Council is composed of 11 councillors elected proportionally to a single ward.

Incumbent councillors Sam Coupland, Tom Redwood, Paul Gaddes and Jon Galletly − who were all elected as ungrouped independents in 2021 − have formed their own group known as "Vote 1 Growth".[5]

Independent councillors Steve Mepham and Paul Packham are not seeking re-election.[6]
