Early life and education

edit

Blackwell began posting videos online at age nine.[4] She attended Allen High School in Allen, Texas.[5]

Career

edit

Blackwell rose to prominence as a teenager on the now-defunct social video app Vine.[5] Her online presence first began to gain traction when she posted a video of herself falling during a cheerleading stunt.[4] She uploaded her first video to YouTube, a compilation of her most successful Vine clips, in 2016.[6]

In 2021, Blackwell guest starred in an episode of #1 Chicken, a YouTube Original competition show hosted by FaZe Rug,[7] and was nominated in the Breakout Creator category at the 11th Streamy Awards.[8] She appeared alongside other Internet personalities in the music video for "360" by Charli XCX in 2024. That year, she was cast as a guest star in a television pilot created by Rachel Sennott for HBO.[3]

Personal life

edit

Blackwell courted controversy in 2020 when she revealed she was living with music producer Diplo, more than 20 years her senior. Diplo clarified that Blackwell was renting a property from him and that there was no romantic relationship between the pair.[9]

On May 2, 2024, Blackwell's older brother Jailyn, died at the age of 30 after being shot inside his vehicle.[10] Quenlin shared the news in a YouTube post shortly afterward, announcing that she would be taking short break from content creation.[11]
