Elysette by night

I think the image Elysette Namur nuit 2005-03-19.jpg should become the selected picture for December. The picture shows the Elysette, the seat of the Walloon Government, by night. It is today's (October 13) Picture of the day on the Wikimedia Commons. I think that an image of a building in Belgium that is considered to be one of the finest images on the Commons deserves a place here as a selected picture.--Ganchelkas 13:27, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Infantry at Ypres

I think the image Australian infantry small box respirators Ypres 1917.jpg should become the selected picture for November. The image's description says: "Australian infantry wearing Small Box Respirators (SBR). The soldiers are from the 45th Battalion, Australian 4th Division at Garter Point, Ypres sector, 27 September 1917." It's a featured picture on the English Wikipedia and was the English Wikipedia's Picture of the day for May 22 2007. It was taken by Captain Frank Hurley.
