The Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever is a gundog that was developed in Canada. It has a unique, breed-specific hunting style known as "tolling". It is gentle, intelligent, active, and friendly. "Tollers" are one of the smallest retrievers, and are mildly fox-like in appearance. As its name suggests, it originates in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. The Toller was bred to retrieve from icy waters and has a water-repellent double coat of medium length and softness.
