La Boca is a neighborhood, or barrio of the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires. It retains a strong European flavour, with many of its early settlers being from the Italian city of Genoa. La Boca is a popular destination for tourists visiting Argentina, with its colourful houses and main street, the Caminito.

It is known throughout the sporting world as the home of Boca Juniors, one of South America's top football clubs.

The Perito Moreno Glacier (50°29′S 73°03′W / 50.483°S 73.050°W / -50.483; -73.050) is a glacier located in the Los Glaciares National Park in the south west of Santa Cruz province, Argentina. It is one of the most important tourist attractions in the Argentine Patagonia.

The 250 km² ice formation, of 30 km in length, is one of 48 glaciers fed by the Southern Patagonian Ice Field located in the Andes system shared with Chile. This icefield is the world's third largest reserve of fresh water.

Mate amargo

In Argentina it is common to see people walking around the streets toting a mate and a thermos with hot water. In some parts of Argentina, gas stations sponsored by yerba mate producers provide free hot water to travellers, specifically for the purpose of drinking during the journey. There are disposable mate sets with a plastic mate and bombilla, and sets with a thermos flask and stacking containers for the yerba and sugar inside a fitted case.

Super Etendard of the Argentine Navy on a US Navy Carrier

An Argentine Navy Dassault Super Etendard jet aircraft commences a "touch and go" landing, during flight operations aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The Super Etendard is a carrier-based single-seat strike fighter first introduced into service in 1978. It is armed with two 30mm guns and can hold a variety of air-to-air weapons and air-to-ground munitions.

The Polish Glacier (Spanish Glaciar de los Polacos) is one of the glacial fields of Cerro Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Andes. It was named after a Polish expedition in 1934. Led by Konstanty Narkiewicz-Jodko, the team paved an alternative route to the peak, named the Polish Route, through the glacier.

Las Leñas

Las Leñas is one of the largest Andean ski resorts in Argentina, together with Cerro Catedral in San Carlos de Bariloche, located in the western part of Mendoza Province. It is well known for its powder snow, good climate and excellent opportunities for extreme and off-piste skiing. Construction of the ski center began January 1983, and by July 1983 it opened with a hotel of 300 beds. The ski area has a good diversity of slopes ranging from very easy to extreme, including a good range of off-piste areas apt for extreme skiing. The skiable area base starts at an altitude of 2,240 m above mean sea level (7,350 feet) and goes up to 3,430 m (11,253 ft) for a total drop of 1,200 m (3,937 ft). The skiable surface amounts to 2.3 km2 (1 sq mi), with 27 runs and a maximum non-stop skiable distance of 7 km (4 mi) (not including off run alternatives). The total ski area reachable by land is the largest in South America.

Pinamar is an Argentine coastal resort town located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in Buenos Aires Province.

Located less than 400 km (249 mi)south of Buenos Aires, it is one of several small seaside communities that line the coast. Since Pinamar's main attraction is the ocean, it is a fairly quiet town during the winter months. Tourism is what fuels the economy during the summer.

The Paraná Delta is the delta of the Paraná River in Argentina. The Paraná flows north–south and becomes an alluvial basin (a flood plain) between the Argentine provinces of Entre Ríos and Santa Fe, then emptying into the Río de la Plata.

The Paraná Delta has an area of about 14,000 km2 (5,405 sq mi) and starts to form between the cities of Santa Fe and Rosario, where the river splits into several arms, creating a network of islands and wetlands. Most of it is located in the jurisdiction of Entre Ríos, and parts in the north of Buenos Aires.

The stadium was renamed after Antonio Vespucio Liberti on November 29, 1986.

The "Casa Rosada" is the official seat of the executive branch of the government of Argentina, and of the offices of the President. Its characteristic color is pink, and is considered one of the most emblematic buildings in Buenos Aires. It also has a museum, with objects related to the presidents of the country. It has been declared a National Historic Monument of Argentina.

The "Argentine National Congress" is the legislative branch of the government of Argentina. Its composition is bicameral, constituted by a 72-seat Senate and a 257-seat Chamber of Deputies. The Congress building is located in Buenos Aires, at the western end of Avenida de Mayo (at the other end of which is located the Casa Rosada). The Kilometre Zero for all Argentine National Highways is marked on a milestone at the Congressional Plaza, next to the building.

ARA Moreno was a dreadnought battleship designed by the American Fore River Shipbuilding Company for the Argentine Navy (Armada de la República Argentina). Named after Mariano Moreno, a key member of the first independent government of Argentina, the First Assembly (Primera Junta), Moreno was the second dreadnought of the Rivadavia class, and the fourth built during the South American dreadnought race.

Avenida General Paz (official name Ruta Nacional A001 - National Route A001) is a beltway freeway surrounding the city of Buenos Aires. Roughly following the boundary between the city and Buenos Aires Province, it is one of the few motorways in Argentina that is toll-free. It carries three lanes of traffic in each direction during most of its length, and five lanes between the Pan-American Highway and the Río de la Plata. There are feeder roads in both directions and there are service areas along its length, usually with a gas station and fast food restaurants.

Griselda Siciliani is an Argentine actress. She began her career in musical comedy, and took part in the theater play "Revista Nacional". She met the actor and producer Adrián Suar, who took her to play a secretary in Sin Código, a satirical police sitcom where Suar was the main actor. Her character was named "Flor", a nerd that fell in love with her boss, who did not even notice. Griselda won the Clarín Award and Martín Fierro Award as new female artist for this role. She worked in Para vestir santos, at the superhero live-action television series Los únicos, and the miniseries Farsantes.

Carlos Gardel (born Charles Romuald Gardes; 11 December 1890 – 24 June 1935) was a singer, songwriter, composer and actor, and is perhaps the most prominent figure in the history of tango. The unerring musicality of Gardel's baritone voice and the dramatic phrasing of his lyrics made miniature masterpieces of his hundreds of three-minute tango recordings. Together with lyricist and long-time collaborator Alfredo Le Pera, Gardel wrote several classic tangos.

Tren Loco is an Argentine heavy metal band formed in the suburban town of Grand Bourg, in Buenos Aires Province. Their lyrics relate social issues, like "Clase trabajadora" (Working class), "Fuera de la Ley" (Outlaw) and "Lucila"; others are about political issues, such as "Pampa del Infierno" (Hell's Land) and "Nos vemos en Cutral-Co" (See you at Cutral-Co). They also write about personal matters: "Endemoniado" (Possessed), "No me importa" (I do not care) and "A ultranza" (To the end). The group's name is inspired by the classic Ozzy Osbourne song: Crazy Train.

The Paraná River is a river in south Central South America, running through Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina for some 4,880 kilometres (3,030 mi). It is second in length only to the Amazon River among South American rivers. The name Paraná is an abbreviation of the phrase "para rehe onáva", which comes from the Tupi language and means "like the sea" (that is, "as big as the sea"). It merges first with the Paraguay River and then farther downstream with the Uruguay River to form the Río de la Plata and empties into the Atlantic Ocean.

Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz (usually called just Santa Fe) is the capital city of province of Santa Fe, Argentina. It is situated in northeastern Argentina, near the junction of the Paraná and Salado rivers. It lies 15 kilometers from the Hernandarias Subfluvial Tunnel that connects it to the city of Paraná. The city is also connected by canal with the port of Colastiné on the Paraná River. Santa Fe has about 369,000 inhabitants as per the 2001 census [INDEC]. The metropolitan area has a population of 454,238, making it the ninth largest in Argentina.
