Description

edit

Paeonia turcica resembles P. kesrouanensis in its glabrous carpels, but has reddish foliage upon emerging and the flowers are usually much darker pink, veering towards red.[2]

It is usually found on mountain slopes and peak plains. The plant emerges as a bud from the soil before many plants in the Eastern Anatolia Region, including the Ferula plant, in spring.

It has been used for medicinal purposes in many places from history to the present day. [3]
