English High School, or English High School in Turkish, was a British private school that operated between 1849 and 1979. First, a girls' school (English High School for Girls) was established in Beyoğlu in 1849, followed by a boys' school (English High School for Boys) in 1905. Both schools were linked and used the same British curriculum. At EHS there were 4 different groups of students; Arden House, Charnwood House, Dean House and Sherwood House.[1] The common logo of the two schools is the blue wolf and crescent. There is also a blue rose logo.
Awards
editThe school won the Şişli Basketball Cup in 1999. The cup was given to Alper Ecevit by the Sports Deputy of the Istanbul Province in a ceremony.
