Early life and social media edit

Smith was born Nara Aziza Pellman in Bloemfontein, South Africa to a South African mother and a German father. When she was an infant, the family moved to Frankfurt, Germany, where she spent the remainder of her childhood. She stated in a TikTok video that both English and German are her native languages. Smith has two younger siblings, a brother and a sister, as well as a maternal half-brother. At 18, Smith moved to the state of California.[1]

Smith began modeling at 14 years old, having been discovered through the "We Love Your Genes" campaign of IMG Models.[3] Between late 2023 and early 2024, Smith began going viral on TikTok and other social media platforms for posting "tradwife" content by cooking elaborate meals for her family from scratch while wearing designer clothing, as well as posting her unusual taste in baby names as she was early in her pregnancy with her third child.[2] Some critics have argued that her content is a covert attempt to convert young women to Mormonism.[4] By 2024, she had gained over 3 million followers on TikTok and over 1 million followers on Instagram.[4]

Personal life edit

Smith married fashion model Lucky Blue Smith in 2020.[5] They have three children and she is also stepmother to her husband's daughter from his previous relationship with model Stormi Henley. While much controversy has been made about Smith's religious affiliation with Mormonism, she doesn't consider herself a "hardcore Mormon" and clarified that she didn't get married in a Mormon temple.[a]
