The NWA 76th Anniversary Show (also simply called NWA 76) is an upcoming professional wrestling event produced by the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). It will be held on August 31, 2024, at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It will be the 14th event under the NWA Anniversary Show chronology.

editThe NWA Anniversary Show is a professional wrestling event held by the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). The first event was held in 1998 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1948 founding of the NWA. The event then continued to be held annually until 2005. It has since been held periodically, with shows held in 2008, 2018, 2021, 2022, and 2023.[1]
On April 2, 2024, it was announced that the NWA 76th Anniversary Show would take place on August 31, 2024, at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[2][3] This would be the first NWA's event in Philadelphia under Billy Corgan’s ownership, as well as NWA's first flagship event in Philadelphia since the third annual Eddie Gilbert Memorial Brawl, held in February 1998.[2]
Storylines
editThe event featured professional wrestling matches that involve different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. Wrestlers portray heroes, villains, or less distinguishable characters in scripted events that built tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.[4]
On the July 16 episode of the Powerrr special edition, The Southern Six (Alex Taylor and Kerry Morton) won the Crockett Cup after defeating The Immortals (Kratos and Odinson) in the finals.[5] On July 25, NWA announced that The Southern Six would face the winners of the previous Crockett Cup, Knox and Murdoch.[6]
