Núria Almiron Roig (born 1967 in Sabadell)[1] is a Catalan researcher who specializes in communication and power relations. Since 2008, she has been a professor in the Department of Communication at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and was previously a professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).

Her main research topics include the political economy of communication,[2] the ethics of mediation, interest groups, critical animal studies, and environmental ethics from a non-speciesist perspective.[3][4][5] She is co-founder and co-director of the UPF-Centre for Animal Ethics[6][7] and a member of the CRITIC research group at UPF.

She has previously worked as a political scientist and as a journalist specializing in ICTs, and has researched financial crime.[8][9]
