Mukesh Kumar Sharma (born 1 February 1980) is an Indian politician, marksman and Retired Regulating Petty Officer of the Indian Navy.[1] He is a member and Kshetriya Prabhari (Pashchimi Uttar Pradesh) of Azad Adhikar Sena.[2]

Early life
editSharma was born in Uttar Pradesh to Amarpal Sharma, who served for the Education Department in Uttar Pradesh, and Kusum Lata Sharma, a housewife, in a Hindu Brahmin family on 1 February 1980.
Education
editFor first half of his primary education, Mukesh attended a government school of Joharipur village, Delhi and thereafter moved to Uttar Pradesh for further education. He did his BSc (PCM), B.Ed., LLB. and Master of Arts in Mathematics from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, DLM., DSB. from Cardinals Institute Hyderabad and Master of Business Administration (HRM) from Delhi. He holds NCC 'C', NSS, Rover/ Ranger (Scouting), social service like tree plantation etc. certificates and also experienced opportunity to be part of the social works teams like Pulse Polio Vaccination, Health Awareness, Blood donation camp etc. during his educational journey.
Military career and Services Sports
editMukesh Kumar Sharma joined Indian Navy in the mid year of 1999. During his tenure with Indian Navy he had shouldered various duties and responsibilities on board different ships, establishments and in Headquarters Eastern Naval Command where he had to maintain discipline, security, verification and maintenance of records and good liasions with Civil Authorities viz. Civil Police and Custom Authorities . He has also been taught crime detection, Apprehension of Naval deserters (Apprehanded 02 Naval Deserters), Vigillance, Investigation and provision of security covers to VVIPs/ VIPs. He won silver medal (9 mm Pistol) for Gunnary School, INS Dronacharya in Kochi Area Championship (Kerala) during his professional training in 2000. He won Gold medal (Rifle) whilst playing for Western Naval Command (Mumbai) in Coimabtore, Tamilnadu in 2001 and participated in ARA Championship 2000 and First National Combat Forces Shooting Championship 2001 organised by Army Rifle Association, Military Headquarters of War (MHOW) in Indore ( Madhya Pradesh) for Tri-Forces, BSF and ITBP etc. He was awarded for proficiency by Commanding Officer INS Kalinga Vishakhapatnam (AP) for selfless devotion to duty, honesty of purpose and integity in 2007. In 2010 whilst being In-charge of Command Security Section (Headquarters Eastern Naval Command, Vishakhapatnam) he was commended by Flag Officer Commander-in-Chief Eastern Naval Command for his selfless devotion to duty. He possesses good teaching skills wherein he taught Naval law to under training officers and Naval cadets at Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, Kannur (Kerala).
Political career
editMukesh Kumar Sharma (post retirement from Indian Navy in 2014) began his political journey in student politics with unsuccessful attempts of nominations. During the initial journey in active politics he joined Bahujan Samajwadi Party. He faced many battles of struggle against curruption, injustice rooted in and around systems of social life. He is resisting deadly against these demon of human being in our society and paid huge cost for it on many occasions.[3][4] Also, on several occasions he successfully managed to settle social disputes. In early 2024, he joined Azad Adhikar Sena inspired by national president of Azad Adhikar Sena Retd. IPS Shri Amitabh Thakur (who is well known as an honest Police Officer for his strict adherence to rules and regulations as well as for his work in the field of administrative accountability ). Mukesh Kumar Sharma contested for Lok Sabha seat from Baghpat in general election 2024.[5][6] Within the Azad Adhikar Sena, initially, Mukesh Kumar Sharma has held key position as Zonal Adhyaksh (Meerut and Saharanpur Mandal, UP)[7][8] and currently shouldering the key responsibility of Kshetriya Prabhari (Pashchimi Uttar Pradesh).[9] He is Adhyaksh (Pashchimi Uttar Pradesh) of Rashtriya Brahmin Mahasangh (Registered).[10]
