@Pppery Is there a reason the module is case sensitive at all? This problem could be eliminated globally with something like

@Pppery It would only loop if it doesn't find the name with a quick lookup. It could also be updated to account for all the variations on dashes, e.g. mw.ustring.gsub(n:lower(), "[–-%s]", " ") == mw.ustring.gsub(team:lower(), "[–-%s]", " "). There's also the option of just normalizing the data table so that all the keys are lowercase and without punctuation, allowing simple lookups on everything, since the display name doesn't seem to be used anywhere outside of the test table. --Ahecht (TALK

No, I don't think so. "Connecticut College" is the short name for the school to differentiate it from "Connecticut", which is the UConn Huskies, aka Connecticut Huskies. There are other examples of this, such as 'Colorado College Tigers' instead of 'Colorado Tigers', 'Georgia College Bobcats', 'Illinois College Blueboys' etc., so this is not an uncommon practice. PensRule11385 (talk) 13:51, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
