Tone it down

edit

{{editprotected}} I laugh every time I see this bright red, orange (who cares?) banner on my watchlist. Could we please tone it down? Like instead of an exclamation point urging you to "save the wiki", just a normal full stop? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mono (talkcontribs)

How's that looking? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 07:25, 10 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

In "There are currently pending revisions to pages on your watchlist.", currently "pending revisions" is the link text. But it is not a link to learn about pending revisions in general (the current link suggests I would go to Wikipedia:Pending changes), but rather to the list of pending revisions that are based on the watchlist. How about making the link text the longer "pending revisions to pages on your watchlist" phrase so it is clearer exactly what the link is? DMacks (talk) 21:42, 16 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

I know I can do this myself, but it's a highly visible change so I wanted to get at least a second set of eyes rather than being WP:BOLD here. DMacks (talk) 21:43, 16 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
@DMacks: seems fine, it doesn't break or remove anything - so if you think it helps go for it. — xaosflux Talk 14:58, 17 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
