Matteo Ciceronini (Rome,16 March 1986), also known by the pseudonym Göw Trïbe, is a record producer and disc jockey. He is of Italian-Kenyan origin.

Beginnings and project Reo Daje Forte edit

Passionate about music, from an early age he listened to rap, and this influence will be reflected in his subsequent dance music productions.

In 2005 he began producing music under the pseudonym 'Reo', organizing and playing at illegal rave parties around Italy and Europe. event from the meeting between Reo, Frank@ (Francesco de Rosa) and Talasemik (Dimitri Fidel) during a hardtechno in Toulouse.

In 2008, the Roman collective Daje Forte was born. The goal was to create a connection between Italy and France, while at the same time bringing new technosounds to the European scene. The group toured in Italy and represented hardtechno music. Throughout Europe they played in Brussels, Vilnius, London, Liège and Monegros.

Two years later, in 2010,Ciceronini released the undergroundtekno tracks 'Reo - Talasemik Rock's' included in 'Hardfloor 10' (Le Diable au Corps), Reo vs Teotk 'Here Foreva', the tribecore track 'Never go Soft' included in 'Le Diable au Corps 13' and together with the other members of the collective, he founded the Daje Forte Records label. This was the Italian response to the European dominance of the hardtek scene.

The following year the track 'Cidade de Deus' was released. It included in Hardcore 11 (Le Diable au Corps) and from the collaboration between Astrofonik and Daje Forte, Headshot Records was born which aims to give visibility to new talents of the new underground tekno scene. 2012 marks the release of the album 'Astroboy 19' which contains the tracks 'Electric Jesus', 'Cocaine Cowboy' and 'Niggas in Paris' .

Finally, in 2013 he made the 'Fook yo First' hardtekno remix of the hiphop song 'Fok Julle Naaiers' by Die Antwoord .

Back2Rave edit

In 2011 a side project to Reo was born and remained active until 2015. Together with Matteo Scartoni they formed Back2Rave, giving a purely EDM key to their music.

In 2012 they released their EP, which includes the tracks 'Bouncing Betty' (played during the English program The Never Say Die Show 09) [1] and 'Shake Funk'. Their original mixes 'My Sick Side', 'Sabotage' and 'Renegade' (in collaboration with Xanti) reached the top 100 (respectively #61, #89, and #66) of the Beatport electrohouse chart.

Their tracks and remixes have been supported by international artists such as, Afrojack, Danny Avila, Firebeatz, Deniz Koyu, Vinai, Joachim Garraud, Don Diablo[2] and their songs have also been played at the Ministry of Sound of London and the Miami Winter Music Conference.[3]

'Sabotage' was chosen to be part of the Geordie Shore soundtrack in season 8 episode #2,[4] while 'My Sick Side' was designated as the opening track of the Opening GQ Podcast - Electro House Mix & Lets be Friends Guest mix ep.10.[5]

GÖW TRÏBE edit

Opening DJ sets and Circus Maximus edit

2015 opens with a new change and the birth of the Göw Trïbe project. He joined the No Face collective, a team that ranges from music to fashion to cinema and photography. Of which he became artistic director alongside Boss Doms.

2015 saw him participate in various festivals, at the Nameless Music Festival, the Holi Colors Festival, Popfest and the Dayoff Music Festival. On July 30 of the same year he will opened the Jovanotti concert at the Arena della Vittoria stadium in Bari[6] in front of an audience of 40,000 people.

He was also featured in several DJ sets that saw him share the stage with artists such as Skrillex, Steve Aoki, Diplo and opening or closing DJ sets from Major Lazer, Hardwell, Pendulum and Borgore.

His remixes have been supported and appreciated by several dj's including Dj Snake, Dillon Francis, Flosstradamus, Steve Aoki, Skrillex, Prodigy, DJ Zatox, Congorock, Marnik, Noisia, Subfocus, Crookers, Kill The Noise, Flux Pavilion and many others [7]

In 2016 he released the EDM/Trap track 'Savage Nature' with Bye Bae and played at the Hoxton Club in Toronto, Vancouver and Paris during fashion week.[8] He participated in the Gallipoli Popfest.

In 2017 he opened the shows of Marshmello and The Bloody Beetroots in Milan, and his track "Each Other" in collaboration with Gregory Trejo, Tinker, Zachary and MoFa was put in rotation on Studio 92, one of the most famous radio stations in Latin America. He played at the Ultra Music Festival in Mexico and Peru.[8]

2019 opens with the DJ set on New Year's Eve at the Circus Maximus in Rome where, alongside Achille Lauro and Boss Doms, he played in front of about 100,000 people.[9]

Collaboration with Achille Lauro edit

2016 saw the beginning of his longterm collaboration with Achille Lauro. Also his participation with Boss Doms in the production of the song 'Profumo da Donna', contained in the album 'Ragazzi Madre '.

2018 saw the release of the album 'No Face Forever' in which he played part in the production of the four introductory songs. As well five of the tracks included in the album and of ' Pour L'Amour ' by Achille Lauro. He produced the first Techno Trap track, 'Midnight Carnival' and collaborated on the song 'French Stuff'.[10]

In the same year, together with Matteo Romano, he created a song, 'Clockwork' which was part of the soundtrack of the film by Valeria Golino, 'Euforia', presented at the 2018 Cannes festival.[11]

Following Achille Lauro's participation in Sanremo, the album '1969' was released, which saw him collaborate in the composition and production of 'Cadillac' and 'Zucchero'. In the same year, he made a brief appearance in the short film Happy Birthday, directed by Lorenzo Giovenga, presented at the 76th Venice International Film Festival alongside Lauro.[12] In October of the same year Ciceroni took part in the summer and autumn tour of Achille Lauro, the 'Rolls Royce Las Vegas Tour', with the opening DJ set of almost all the concerts. During the live concerts Lauro presented the new single of the dance breakthrough '1990' produced in collaboration with Boss Doms and which was released on October 25, 2018. The song takes up La Bouche's 90s hit 'Be my Lover' and 2020 release of the album of the same name. On November 24 he was a guest, with Achille Lauro, of the 'Special Guest' program in the Radio m2o studios where they presented their 90s playlist.[13]

2020 saw him join the MK3 Milano team, a booking agency which also includes Achille Lauro and Boss Doms. In February 2020 the song 'Me ne frego', in which he collaborated, was presented at the Sanremo festival by Achille Lauro, finishing in eighth place in the final ranking. The lockdown due to COVID-19 saw Ciceroni stuck in an Airbnb in Rome with Achille Lauro. During this period their collaboration 'March 16' was created and released on April 3.

Subsequently; on June 18 it was the turn of 'Bam Bam Twist' and on July 24 the album of reinterpretations of dance hits from the 90s, '1990'. On September 17 ' Maleducata ' was released. It was chosen as the soundtrack of the Netflix series ' Baby 3 ' followed on September 25 by 1969 Achille Idol Rebirth, which, in addition to containing all the original tracks of the '1969' album, includes the singles released during of 2020 ( Me ne frego, March 16, Bam Bam Twist and Maleducata ).

On December 4 he collaborated with Achille Lauro and Gregorio Calculli, on an album with jazz and swing rhythms inspired by the 20s, '1920s - Achille Lauro & The Untouchable Band' which marked the final chapter of the experimental side project. It comprised the trilogy '1969', '1990', '1920'.

2021 opened with the release in February of 'Solo Noi' by Lauro. It was presented at the Sanremo festival in one of the 5 songs produced by Ciceroni. This was in anticipation of the album 'Lauro' which was released on April 16.

On March 19, the new single 'Marilù' was released and was previewed during the broadcast 'Domenica in' hosted by Mara Venier. The episode was a special Sanremo edition.[14] ' Lauro ' had 8 songs in which Ciceroni particated in the production and composition.
