Manami Kojima (born 7 November 1994 ) is a Japanese volleyball player. She competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics.[1]

Career

She went on to Funabashi Municipal Funabashi High School . He excelled in national tournaments such as the 2012 Inter-High School Championships, and was also selected as a member of the All-Japan High School Selected Team .

In 2013, he entered Aoyama Gakuin University . She won the Libero Award and Rookie of the Year Award at the Kanto University Division 1 League Spring League. She was selected for the All Japan Junior National Team, and competed in the 2013 FIVB Volleyball Women's U20 World Championship, placing second, and was also named Best Libero .[2]

In July 2014 , she participated in the Asian Volleyball Championship as a member of the Japanese national team. She participated in the 2015 Summer Universiade, and helped the team win a bronze medal .[3]

In 2016, she signed with the NEC Red Rockets of the V.Premier League ..[4]

In 2017, she participated in the VTV Cup held in Vietnam .  She contributed greatly to the team's victory and was selected as the best libero .  She also performed well at the 2017 Summer Universiade , winning the silver medal .

He was selected as a member of the Japan national team for 2022.  She was selected for the 2022 Volleyball Nations League .  [5]

In the 2022-23 season, she contributed to NEC's first victory in six seasons in the V1 Women's Championship , and won the Receiving Award herself .[6]

She was named captain of NEC for the 2023-24 season .  She won the Best Libero Award for helping NEC win the V1 Women's Championship for the second consecutive year.  She participated in the 2024 Volleyball Nations League.[7][8]

On March 11, 2024, it was announced that she would leave the NEC Red Rockets.  In June, it was announced that she would be joining LOVB, [9] In July, it was also announced that she would be participating in the Athletes Unlimited .
