Maireana ciliata, the fissure weed, is a species of flowering plant in the family Amaranthaceae.[2] It is native to Australia (except Western Australia and Tasmania), and has been introduced to South Africa.[1] A decumbent perennial usually only reaching 10 cm (4 in) high, it is typically found growing in deserts or dry shrublands.[2][1]
