Early life
editLansing grew up in a small town outside of Paris called Villebon-sur-Yvette and was involved in the punk scene as a teenager. Her parents were missionaries and they also spent time in the Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.[1][2]
Career
editLansing moved to New York, New York, where she attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. After that she made appearances on television shows such Murder Castle, Red Oaks, and Tell Me a Story. She worked with Maggie Gyllenhaal in The Deuce.[3] Lansing plays Brianna Delrasso on HBO's limited drama series Mare of Easttown alongside Kate Winslet.[4][5]
In 2021 Lansing filmed indie drama film Allswell in New York alongside Liza Colón-Zayas, Elizabeth Rodriguez and Daphne Rubin-Vega.[6][7] In 2022 she was cast in the Hunger Games prequel, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.[8] In 2023, she played Harrison in Gareth Edwards science-fiction film The Creator.[9]
Personal life
editLansing has an apartment in Queens, New York. She is gay, at the beginning of her career she has said she was discouraged from speaking publicly about her sexuality and pushed to take roles that made her uncomfortable.[10]
