The Lolan (Zazaki: Lol) is a Zaza-speaking[1][2] East Anatolian tribe of Kurdish origin.[2] Lolan is one of the Kurdish tribes with a large Alevi population.[3]

Chiefs of Dersim's Kurdish tribes are in Ankara, 1926. Mehmed Sabri Ağa, the chief of Lolan, is seated in the third row from the front right.

Districts where the Lolan tribe is spread: Bingöl (Yayladere), Erzincan (Tercan), Erzurum (Hınıs, Aşkale, Tekman), Gümüşhane (Kelkit), Muş (Varto), and Tunceli (Pülümür, Nazımiye, Çemişgezek).[4] The part of the Lolan tribe living on the Iran–Iraq border speaks mostly Sorani and Gorani.[5]
