List of ambassadors of the Philippines to Australia

The ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Commonwealth of Australia is the Republic of the Philippines' foremost diplomatic representative in the Commonwealth of Australia. As head of the Philippines' diplomatic mission there, the ambassador is the official representative of the president and the government of the Philippines to the governor-general and the government of Australia. The position has the rank and status of an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary and is based at the embassy located in Canberra.

Although the diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on July 4, 1946, this diplomatic post was established on July 8, 1949, under the rank of a consul general (later, minister), and the rank of ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary was later officially elevated in 1956. The Philippine ambassador to Australia also serves as the non-resident ambassador to the countries of Nauru, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.[1]
