Early and personal life edit

In July 2009, Mochrie was sentenced to two years in prison for supplying gamma-hydroxybutyric acid (GHB) and perverting the course of justice.[4][5] His sentence was later reduced to eighteen months on appeal and he was released in December of that year on an electronic tag.[6][7]

Mochrie is gay and is engaged to Emmerdale co-star Max Parker, who played his on-screen brother.[8][9][10][11][12]

Furber in an episode of Coronation Street the following year.[15] In 2015, Mochrie appeared in the BBC drama series Ordinary Lies as Jez, the husband of Emma and an employee at JS Motors.[16] He also made another appearance in Emmerdale as an instructor. In 2016, Mochrie appeared in the short film Rapscallions, before appearing as Captain Ross in the television film To Walk Invisible based on the Brontë family.[17] In 2017, Mochrie played Scott in three episodes of The League of Gentlemen.[18] In 2018, he appeared in the CBBC series' 4 O'Clock Club and Katy and in an episode of Bulletproof as Daley.[3]
