The Kosovo Raid of 1448 (Albanian: Bastisja e Kosovës; Serbian Cyrillic: Косовска Pација) was a military conflict between the League of Lezhë and the Serbian Despotate which happened in result of Đurađ Branković, the Despot of Serbia stopping and blocking Skanderbeg's (Gjergj Kastrioti's) way to join John (Janoš) Hunyadi's Crusader army in the Battle of Kosovo (1448) against the Ottoman Empire. It is believed that when Skanderbeg was on his way to join the Crusader army under the main command of Kingdom of Hungary's Regent, John Hunyadi, he was stopped and his way was blocked by Đurađ Branković. Skanderbeg failed, but in revenge he heavily raided the Kosovo Field, burning down more than 50 Serbian villages and resistances. Performing a brutal ambush against the Serbian Despotate.[1][2]
