Khalifah Al-Yaqout is a Kuwaiti lawyer, arbitrator, and legal consultant, currently serving as the managing partner at Al-Yaqout & Al-Fouzan Legal Group.[1]

Education

Khalifah Al-Yaqout holds a law degree from United Arab Emirates University. He is a licensed attorney, registered with the Kuwait Bar Association.[2]

Career

Al-Yaqout began his career in the legal field by joining the family-founded Al-Yaqout & Al-Fouzan Legal Group.[3][4] He has represented Kuwait in international forums, such as the United Nations and the US Department of Commerce, and actively participates in legal development programs like the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the US Department of State.[5][6]

In addition to his work in law, Al-Yaqout holds advisory roles for several government ministries, including serving as a consultant for the Minister of Social Affairs and the Minister of Electricity and Water.[7][8] He also serves as an arbitrator in the Kuwaiti International Chamber of Arbitration and is a member of several international legal organizations, such as the International Bar Association and the Arab Lawyers Union.[9][10]
