Kevin J. Neary is an Irish entrepreneur, speaker, and the founder of Orcawise. He is known for his work on ethical and sustainable practices in Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications.

Life and career

Neary studied at the University of South Wales, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Marketing in 1995. He later completed a Postgraduate Diploma in New Business Development, focusing on Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, and Machine Learning, from Technological University Dublin in 2004. Additionally, Neary attended Columbia Business School's Executive Education programs in Marketing and Data Analytics from 2019 to 2021.[1][2][3]

From 2013 to 2016, Neary was the CEO of NovaUCD startup, Connectors Marketplace, at the University College Dublin.[4][5]

In 2015, he founded Orcawise, a company that initially provided AI-based marketing products and services and in 2023 the company went on to specialize in Responsible AI advisory and services.[6][7][8][9][10][11]

Neary has been actively involved with CeADAR, Ireland's centre for applied AI, since 2016. In September 2023, Neary was appointed to the board of CeADAR with a focus on advocating for the adoption of EDIH (European Digital Innovation Hub) services by SME's and PSO's in Europe.[12][13][14][15][16][17]
