Rodney Kefas Namisi[1] known professionally as Kefas Brand,[2] is an Actor, Media Personality and[3] Entrepreneur. He is the CEO and Founder Think Media Uganda an umbrella company of Think Tv Uganda (Television Station) and Think TV FM Uganda (Radio station)[4]. He is known for his roles in movies such as Life on our Planet[5], Lucky Winnier, The girl in the Yellow Jumper, A Murder at the end of World.[6] [7]

Early Life and Education
editKefas Brand was born on May 24, 2001. He grew up in a Christian family, with his parents being Sir Samuel Kefa Namisi (father) and Namisi Mariam(mother). Kefas is the second-born among three brothers and a sister, Princess Elizabeth Praise.[8] He pursued his education at various schools and holds a university degree in Mass Communication and Media Management. Additionally, he studied at the New York Film Academy from 2007 to 2009.
Career
editIn 2007, Kefas began taking Cinema and Drama classes. By 2008, he had already been cast in his first film. His humorous social media posts on Facebook gained him recognition, leading to friendships with popular stars worldwide, including musicians, actors, and comedians. Kefas’ funny personality endeared him to many, and he became a well-known figure on social media. In 2020, he took on a role as film director[9] acting in and directing short films including Lucky Winner,[10] and Dubai Outfits.
Passion for Acting
editKefas drew inspiration from global actors such as Jack Griffo, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Wahlberg, and Hugh Jackman. As a child, he admired the character Max Thundermans from the Nickelodeon TV show “Thundermans.” Kefas aspired to act and even dreamed of featuring Jack Griffo in a film project. His passion for acting led him to pursue this career path.[11]
Other interests
editApart from acting, Kefas enjoys sad music, football, and watching Crime and Detective series. His role models include Cristiano Ronaldo, Pablo Escobar, his mother, XXXTentacion, and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Kefas also harbors an interest in politics and aspires to be a powerful influential leader someday.[12]

Kefas has been in a relationship with Katushabe Fridaus since February 2023. Katushabe Fridaus is a Model and Actress and is also known as Kfridah7. They are often seen supporting each other’s endeavors. Their bond extends beyond the public eye, as they enjoy spending quality time together, whether it’s attending events, exploring new places, or simply sharing heartfelt moments. Their relationship is characterized by mutual respect, trust, and a shared passion for their respective careers.[13]
He maintains a healthy lifestyle, abstaining from alcohol, smoking, and tattoos. In 2016, he underwent brain surgery following an accident.
While he expresses interest in politics, Kefas remains tight-lipped about his political affiliations
