Basantkumar John Oommen (born 8 September 1953 in Conoor, India[1]) is an Indian-Canadian computer scientist. Oommen received the Master of Science degree from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1979, and the Doctor of Philosophy degree from Purdue University in 1982, and is now Chancellor's Professor at the School of Computer Science, Carleton University.
