Overview

edit

Job Today facilitates connections between individuals seeking employment and opportunities in several industries.[4]

The company has onboarded 20,000 employers within the first eight months since its launch, and it has received two million job applications, resulting in 10,000 individuals securing employment.[5][6]

According to Job Today, the ideal timing of submitting the CV increases the chances of the candidate securing a job.[7][8][9]

History

edit

Job Today was launched in May 2015[1][3] in Barcelona and Madrid.[6] In January 2016, the company announced an initiative to secure funding with the goal of expanding its operations to London. Accel Partners,[3] Mangrove Capital Partners,[10] and Felix Capital[11] invested in Job Today after the company's expansion to London.[4][12]

In October 2016, notable media entities, including Channel 4, RTL Germany,[13][14] Atresmedia, and German Media Pool VC[2] made strategic investments in the venture of Job Today.[15][16][17] Job Today is experiencing rapid growth and is increasingly becoming the primary method for employers to fill job vacancies in sectors such as bartending, restaurants, hotels, retail, and small businesses.[citation needed] Job Today has managed more than 100 million applications for temporary positions within the hospitality and retail sectors since 2015.[18]

Out-Of-Home Advertising Campaign

edit

Job Today initiated a subway campaign in New York's Out of Home (OOH) advertising. The campaign was nominated as a finalist for the esteemed 2023 OOH Local Case Study Award by The Out of Home Advertising Association of America (OAAA) and Geopath, underscoring its effectiveness and influence on the local advertising scene.[19]

Awards

edit

In December 2016, Job Today was named the winner of the social category in the Startup Europe Awards’ Luxembourg category.[citation needed]

In 2020, Job Today was recognized by the World Economic Forum as part of the 100 Most Promising Technology Pioneers of 2020.[20][unreliable source?]
