Note: During 2023 and 2024 Italy were drawn to play three teams in Group B of the European Qualifiers for the 2025 Women's Rugby League World Cup.[18][19] Dates and hosts were selected, with Italy scheduled to play Malta on 2 September 2023, Ireland on 11 May 2024, and Serbia on 25 May 2024. In May 2023, however, following the withdrawal of France as hosts of the 2025 World Cups, the European Rugby League announced that fixtures scheduled for 2023 would be postponed.[20][21] These fixtures were subsequently cancelled as the World Cup was pushed back to 2026 and the number of Women's teams participating reduced from 16 to 8.
