Population

edit

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 1,025 in 208 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 1,103 people in 260 households.[2]

After the census, the village of Zeh-e Kalut merged with the villages of Cheraghabad-e Zeh-e Kalut, Hasanabad-e Zeh-e Kalut, and Hoseynabad-e Zeh-e Kalut, and was elevated to the status of a city.[5]

In 2023, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Jazmurian County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Zeh-e Kalut as its capital and only city. The rural district was transferred to the new Central District.[6]
