Hannah Brine is a British singer, songwriter, and composer.
Career
editBrine's performance and songwriting genres include folk, pop, and jazz. She has had numerous collaborations with songwriters that include Michael Garvin, Emily Phillips, and Jeff Franzel. [1]
In 2019 Brine and her friends had decide to climb Mount Everest to break a record with the aid of a turntable deck. Where had also raised funds for Whizz Kids to assit mobile children to be more more mobile with the assistance of a wheelchair. [2]
Brine's work has brought her to many stages which include: The Birmingham Jazz Festival, The Pheasantry in London, and the Buxton Fringe Festival, [3] [4] where her performance won he[5]r the ‘Best Solo Vocal’ award in 2024.[6] [7] Brine also partook in the Summer Sundae choir in 2010, three years after organising her own choir in Leicester.
Brine has performed along various artists including Gary Barlow, the lead singer of Take That.[8]
She has written with and performed alongside record producer Boo Hewerdine and singer, songwriter, musician and record producer Clive Gregson. Brine has co-written a song with singer-songwriter Daisy Chute on their collaboration "Spirit of the Singers", which is also on Brine's Live at Fiction Studios EP.[9]
Brine also wrote and sang vocals on You and I, for Ciaran McCauley & Roger Shah. This was Beatport Trance number 1 song in April 2022. [10]
Brine also released a song to chronicle world book day. [11]
Choirs
editBrine is the founder of a number of choirs which include Disdbury Singers, Walthamstow Singers, Victoria Park Singers (founded in 2013),[12] Finsbury Park Singers (Founded 2018), [13] Finsbury A Cappella, Fosse Singers, Bollington Singers (Founded 2007), and High Peak Singers (2022). In 2015 Brine was nominated by various members of her choir and honoured as a BBC Music Day Unsung Hero for her work and innovation with community choirs, empowering voices to be able to express themselves via the medium of song.[14][15] [16] [17]
Brine organised and trained choirs for the 2016 Royal Variety Show and was also a choir member who performed with Gary Barlow; in addition, to choir organisation performance for the 2017 Olivier Awards. [18] Brine's choirs have also performed with Andre Thomas and the LSO (London Symphony Orchestra) In addition to BBC Proms ‘In the Name of the Earth’.
