Government City in Dodoma, Tanzania is a settlement established by former president John Magufuli to serve as the seat of the national government. It will host all the ministry buildings, diplomatic enclave, government houses and the judiciary. It is located 17 km east of the city centre. The project will cost $4.7 billion.[2] The second phase of the project cost Tsh 675 billion ($259 million).[3]
