Geography
editThe commune is made up of the following collection of villages and hamlets, La Briquetière, Les Bruyères and Ginai.[3]
The Commune is one of 30 communes that make up the Natura 2000 protected area of Bocages et vergers du sud Pays d'Auge.[4] The site is 21,541 hectares in size and consists of a well-preserved wooded landscape that hosts three protected beetles, the European stag beetle, the great capricorn beetle and the Hermit Beetle.[5]
The River Ure runs through the commune in addition to a single stream, the Roule-Crottes.

editNational heritage sites
edit- Hippodrome de Bergerie a racecourse that is owned by the Haras du Pin.[6] It hosted Normandy's first gallop race in 1851.[6] In 1863 it was inaugurated in 1863 by Napoleon III.[7] It was classed as a Monument historique.[8]
