Ganga Bishan Agarwal (1908–1985), also known as Haldiram Ji, was an Indian entrepreneur who founded the well-known Haldiram's brand in 1937.[1] He is credited with transforming the production and commercialization of bhujia, a traditional Indian snack, in Bikaner, Rajasthan, and laying the foundation for what would become a major food enterprise.[2][3][4] His innovative approach to snack-making and his commitment to traditional recipes shaped both his business and the broader Indian snack industry.[5]

Ganga Bishan Agarwal was born in 1908 in Bikaner, Rajasthan, into a family with a history of making snacks and sweets.
