It elects one deputy to the lower house of Congress for each three-year legislative period, by means of the first-past-the-post system.

District territory

edit

Under the 2023 districting plan, which will be used for the 2024, 2027 and 2030 federal elections,[2] the Fourteenth District covers the northern (urban) portion of the borough (alcaldía) of Tlalpan.[3][1]

Previous districting schemes

edit

Under the 2005 districting scheme, the Fourteenth District covered the whole of the borough (delegación) of Tlalpan, with the exception of its northernmost portion, which made up the Fifth District. It was one of the city's few rural electoral districts.[4]

Between 1996 and 2005, the district covered the westernmost third of the borough of Iztacalco.[5]
