Can't hear the difference? edit

Hi I tried playing this file on various different MIDI players both Linux (Timidity and FluidSynth) and Windows (WinAmp, Windows Media Player), and playing it to a bunch of people (I might be tone-deaf, after all), but none of us can hear even the slightest difference in frequency between the tones played in this file?

And I checked on Youtube, where there's also an example of the Syntonic Comma, and although it's very subtle, I could hear the difference there.

Now I did some more research and find you are using some kind of pitch-bend technique in the MIDI file to create the right frequencies. Is there perhaps a possibility that the average MIDI software synthesizer does not recognize these pitch-bending commands, and that you only properly play these files if you have a high-end soundcard or a good MIDI-synthesizer on your computer?

Because in that case this example might be better rendered in WAV, OGG or MP3 format. It's rather misleading otherwise, if a computer just plays the wrong notes without any warning. I'm kinda hesitant now to check out the other articles on musical intervals with MIDI files, because I'll have no idea whether I'm listening to what was intended, right?
