A highly schematic Arabic map of the Mediterranean Sea from an 1839 lithographic facsimile of an 1173 manuscript copy of Istakhri's 10th-century atlas Roads of the Kingdoms. Oriented with the west at the top.

According to Mohammad Ballan [1], the triangular island at the narrow part of the sea is labelled Jabal al-Qilal, that is, Fraxinetum.
