BWV39.1_first_section.ogg(Ogg Vorbis sound file, length 4 min 43 s, 88 kbps, file size: 2.95 MB)

Description Ogg file of the first section of the first movement of the cantata Brich dem Hungrigen dein Brot, BWV 39, by Johann Sebastian Bach, for four part choir (SATB), alto recorders, oboe, violins, viola and continuo (bassoon with positive organ figured bass). Prepared from a midi file by encoding Bach's 1726 score in lilypond. Various soundfonts from different sources were used. The choir and orchestra were combined with the audio editor "audacity". Not the final version, which will comprise the whole movement with further adjustments to the vocal parts.
