Nederlands: Elke bloedtransfusie is een transplantatie van levende bloedcellen. Deze cellen kunnen een agglutinatiereactie veroorzaken met mogelijk dodelijke gevolgen.

Het is essentieel om tijdens een bloedtransfusie de juiste bloedgroep te geven. Ik simuleer onder de microscoop wat er gebeurt als men dit niet doet: er vindt een directe agglutinatiereactie plaats die dodelijke gevolgen met zich meebrengt.

English: Each blood transfusion is a transplant of living blood cells. These cells can cause an agglutination reaction with potentially deadly consequences.

It is vital to give the right blood type during a blood transfusion. I simulate under the microscope what happens when one does not do this: there is a direct agglutination reaction takes place that entails with deadly consequences.
