The erg agama (Trapelus tournevillei), also commonly known as the Sahara agama, is a species of lizard in the family Agamidae. The species is endemic to North Africa.[1]

Etymology edit

The specific name, tournevillei, is in honor of French herpetologist Albert Tourneville.[3]

Geographic range edit

T. tournevillei is found in Algeria and Tunisia.[1]

Habitat edit

The natural habitat of T. tournevillei is hot deserts.[1]

T. tournevillei is oviparous.[2]
