Comment on UDP and COI tags
editSubject in an renowned artist in India. The image [1] was taken by myself when I got to meet her as a fan recently and hence I decided to upload that image. However, I will upload any online existing image and when we search online with the subject name, we get hundreds of their image. I will do so after revoking the tags. - @Akash.ka01: are you certain that is correct? Several similar images are attributed to a professional photo shoot (this one on Instagram for example [2]), the photo seems to be taken outdoors, and no camera was record by the commons upload wizard. The later point is a hallmark of photos taken from an image on the web and not by someone's personal camera. I know I may seem overly cautious for asking such questions, but due to the nature of Wikipedia and the Wikimedia Commons copyright violations must be acted against.--SamHolt6 (talk) 15:56, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
- @SamHolt6: I am extremely sorry for all the issues. As I am new and learning and understanding policies now, I may have committed mistakes which I would not be well aware of. I kindly request you to help me on this. I will update the new picture with the right source and copyright details. Kindly do the needful to make the page visible. UDP and COI tags
editAdding UDP and COI tags to the article as the article creator is also the uploader of the article's image [3]. As this was claimed as "own work" and I have been unable to find the image online, it is possible that the image is not a copyvio and that the uploader has a close connection to the subject.
