Patch procedures + typology

There are various ways to categorize patches. PurpleSec uses the model of security, feature, and driver updates along with service packs.[1] A survey of patch types could expand this article, with reference to their management (as they are already discussed in the patch article).

Additionally, many articles feature the 'steps' or 'lifecycle' of patch management, which could help establish the outline beyond just features/best practices.[2] Tule-hog (talk) 23:36, 15 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
