Professional connection edit

When I originally started this draft, I declared a (tenuous) professional connection in the interest of full disclosure. It was the reason used the draft namespace instead of creating the article directly in the main namespace. By way of an update, this connection ended last month, but I continue to think we should have an article about OpenHistoricalMap, whether or not it ends up being based on this draft.

OSM section? edit

Seems to me, there has been no quick improvement in the prospects of publication as an article, just as there has been no quick development of OHM itself. However, perhaps some of the material belongs in OpenStreetMap as a section. If and when this article is born, we can then adjust the distribution of contents. @Jim.henderson: No objection from me, but I suspect it would quickly resemble a WP:COATRACK, considering that the project is only loosely affiliated with completely separate contents. It would also be oddly inconsistent, now that the "Derivative map projects" section lists separate articles for OpenSeaMap and Wheelmap.org that are not, in fact, separate or derivative projects at all. But I'm tempted to reduce those articles to redirects because they resemble how-to guides. Minh Nguyễn 💬 09:11, 5 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
