Notability

I believe now meets notability. Selection of external links are evidenced here with a range of interactions between the CoROM and other prestigious organisations. It looks like the RCSEd has opted to have CoROM as a founding member of advisor to their new Faculty - I’m not sure a royal college gets into bed with just anybody! Also - they seem to be a genuine degree awarding body like any other university. I suppose if there were some famous/successful alumni that would add to notability? I'm going to go head and remove the citation tag. Only two citations remain which link to the CoROM website. These are both details of specific provisions by the College - one is a Cadaver Course and one an international placement in Ukraine. I think the cadaver course is notable to warrant using the link back to the College, and I suspect that the chaps and chapesses in Ukraine may be too busy to fully update their websites etc. There are other independent citations to show the pre-existing and ongoing link to ukraine. Short Courses

1) are these relevant? Most unis run short courses . 2) corom seem to run a lot and they seem well respected internationally - so maybe they should be included BUT if they are, they need organising as some are mentioned in the introduction and some later on . 3) how to best organise short courses ?

• Specific short courses deleted apart from the cadaver course, as I feel this is somewhat unique, or certainly unusual in the sphere of remote medicine, so I have left this in. TMallinson (talk) 14:23, 29 November 2022 (UTC)

Department

I reinstated the table which delineated the departments within the college there appeared to have been no justification why this have been deleted and it appears to be a straightforward way of outlining what the college does Imaginarium Monkey (talk) 12:31, 25 November 2022 (UTC)

Suggested improvements

Some suggestions, following the invitation at Wikiproject Higher Education:

• Fill out the lead. Having a one-sentence lead is the part that screams 'draft article' to me here.
• Check the language, quite a lot of it sounds promotional. The first two sentences of the "Collaborative Work" section needs to be re-written in neutral language. Also phrases like "well respected expert" do not belong in the encyclopedia's voice.
• Be wary of third-party websites that are actually repeating copy provided by the college. These may not be independent, reliable sources.
• Check what the parameters in the infobox mean. For example, the infobox currently states that the college is a member of both Mount Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College and the Ivan Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University via the 'academic affiliation' parameter. This parameter is not used for partner universities.
• Follow the Manual of Style. There's no need to italicise the name of the college. When simply referring to the college, rather than using its full name, 'the college' should not be capitalised. Title case is not used for section headings, nor generally for anything that isn't the start of a sentence or a proper noun.
• If it's worth saying the college runs a short course on 'cadavaric surgical skills', it's worth explaining what this means and why it is worth mentioning.

The article certainly reads a lot better. But it's not clear that the main reason it was declined previously had been addressed – is there significant coverage in independent, reliable secondary sources? The independent reliable sources here don't look like they're providing the depth of coverage needed to meet WP:ORGDEPTH. It needs secondary references that provide "an overview, description, commentary, survey, study, discussion, analysis, or evaluation of the product, company, or organization." Reference ( Laing, Simon (2023-12-14). "Caring in a Broken System – The Resus Room". Retrieved 2024-03-16. ) is a popular podcast which dedicates a whole episode to discussing prolonged field care as a result of a journal article from the Emeritus Dean of the college and another college academic.

Reference ( Boyle, Janet (2023-12-19). "Ambulance paramedics may get military training in ways to keep queuing patients alive". The Sunday Post. Retrieved 2024-03-16 ) is newspaper coverage in Scotland of the College's work, demonstrating international reach.

Reference at EPRN demonstrate a europe-wide engagement of the college with this established research group.

There are a number of citations where the college is referred to as a leading source of education in a specialist area, or where college experts are invited onto another podcast for example. The International Board of Specialty Certification (https://www.ibscertifications.org/roles/tactical-paramedic#gsc.tab=0) also specifically recommends the college's published field guide as a core revision text for a number of its national certification exams.
